Youth Hunter Sets the Pace
This past weekend was the opener for our youth season here in Kansas and it went off with a bang, that is a bang from a Marlin 30-30 shouldered by 14 year old Allie, from Arkansas. Allie squeezed the trigger to put a round perfectly behind the shoulder of the big 8 pointer that stood over 120 yards away from the box blind.
The beautiful 8 point stayed on the edge of darkness, often times showing with only a few minutes of shooting light left.

This is one proud dad! Allie’s dad, Frank, sat in the stand and watched the whole hunt unfold!
Allie made use of her antlerless tag and helped us with a lil’ deer management by making a perfect shot on this old doe!
Congratulations Allie on an awesome hunt and an awesome buck! We hope you’ll come back in the future and hunt with us again!
